Welcome to Maribelle Photography, I'm so glad you found your way here!

I'm a newborn and children's photographer based in Buckley, Washington, serving families throughout the surrounding rural communities. My studio is a historical building in Buckley with soaring ceilings, that I have customized as a studio space tailored for newborn and children's photography.

My professional photography journey began in late 2012. Since then, I've invested in numerous newborn photography courses and had the privilege of working with more babies than I could ever count. I have gathered a hoard of fabrics, props, and creative odds-and-ends, and I absolutely love the artistic challenge of a themed session.

I believe that photography sessions shouldn't feel stressful, and I aim to give parents a relaxed, easy, and enjoyable experience. To this goal, I have implemented a one hour "arrival window" for sessions because every new parent has gotten stuck in the feed-burp-poop-change loop at least once, and I want feeling rushed to be the last thing on your mind.

I'm so excited to be on this journey with you, and I hope that as you explore my work you feel my passion - for history, for love, for your baby's safety - and that these values resonate with you as well.

Hope to photograph you soon!

Behind the Camera

Hi, I'm Amanda!

I'm a quirky, introverted Mama to a blended family of four (ages 16, 11, 10, and 2). You'll spot them sprinkled throughout my portfolio, and my oldest has been trained to be my assistant during newborn sessions.

Always behind a camera, as a child I ran through countless rolls of film. I learned to develop photos in a darkroom before upgrading to my first digital camera as a teen.

When I opened my business, I actually specialized in Real Estate photography of all things! As my children have grown, though, my heart has pulled me to pursue newborn and children's portrait photography. I live for snuggles and giggles so it's the perfect fit. Like any parent of a teenager knows, time moves fast - blink and you've missed it. I'm passionate about preserving these early, fleeting moments because they truly do fly by.

When I'm not photographing or editing, I enjoy reading, traveling, and going out to line dance. And, of course, snuggling my babies.

Happy family group posing together outdoors on a sunny day.

Who is Maribelle?

"Maribelle" is actually a blend of my grandmothers' names. Both have passed away, but this name has stayed with me since the first moment it came to mind - one of those perfect meant-to-be moments. The feathers in my logo are little tributes to them as well, one loved angels and the other adored owls.
